The Nowshera hospital is a community hospital and referral center that is to serve the population of Nowshea, district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan, a canton of around 900,000 population in the North East of Pakistan, and around 140 km from Islam-Abad.
The project includes a hospital of 100 beds in addition to a School of Nursing with a total built-up area of 15,000 m².

Hospital Design Concept
The Hospital design took into consideration the restrictions of the urban site and limited allowed height while creating an architectural statement.
The other aim of the hospital designer was to create a very efficient hospital in terms of area as well as relationship between the different departments – the resultant hospital design has one of the most optimized circulations with the most efficient floor plate per bed (108 sqm/bed).

The other aim of the hospital designer was to create a very efficient hospital in terms of area as well as relationship between the different departments – the resultant hospital design has one of the most optimized circulations with the most efficient floor plate per bed.
200 bed hospital with a total built up area of 25,000 sqm, financed by the Abu-Dhabi fund for development. The hospital was inaugurated in 2002 by ex-president Hosni Mubarak
and had a strong presence in the Egyptian culture. It was featured in the film “tabakh El Rais” as well as the TV serial "katel bela Agr" as well as several others.
An 80 bed General Hospital, with a total built-up area of 10,000 sqm.
Hospital Design Concept
The hospital designer's had 2 challenges. the first one was that the land being overlooking a roundabout had the triangular shape of a pie.
The second one was that the strucutral concrete skeletons was already built when hte Architect took over, he had to live with the unappropriate spans. At the end all the functions and elements of the hospital were successfully integrated.

Hospital Design Concept
The Hospital design took into consideration the gorgeous site of the hospital, perched on a cliff overlooking the surrounding landscape. The design of the hospital came out as an integrated mass in harmony with the surroundings.
The other aim of the hospital designer was to create a very efficient hospital in terms of area as well as relationship between the different departments – the resultant hospital design has one of the most optimized circulations with the most efficient floor plate per bed (96sqm/bed). One of the main features or landmarks that the hospital designer achieved, was the sculptural stairs on either side of the building.
